December 29, 2022 (Williamson County, Texas) – The office of Justice of the Peace Pct. 3 will be closed on Friday, Jan. 6, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for court personnel training. The Justice of the Peace Pct. 1 office in Round Rock will be closed to the public from Tuesday, Dec. 27 to Friday, Dec. 30, in order to clear a backlog of digitizing court records.

The public is invited to watch the swearing in ceremonies for Williamson County elected officials. The ceremonies will be held in the Williamson County Historic Courthouse, 710 S. Main Street, Georgetown, Texas, Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023, starting at 2 p.m. in the District Courtroom for those who wish to watch in person. The ceremonies also will be live on Facebook on the account @wilcogov.

The Williamson County Office of Emergency Management is encouraging residents to prepare now for the Hard Freeze Warning, Wind Chill Warning and Wind Advisory issued by the National Weather Service in anticipation of the freezing cold weather expected to enter the area Thursday, Dec. 22. Residents are encouraged to sign up for emergency alerts at www.warncentraltexas.org.
