Tax Assessor-Collector, Larry Gaddes

Larry Gaddes is a sixth generation Texan that has served as Chief Deputy of the Williamson County Tax Assessor-Collector’s office for over 6 years.  He has earned his Certified Tax Administrator designation – the property tax profession’s highest certification held by only 19 other tax office professionals throughout the state.  In addition to his experience in the tax profession, Larry served 20 years in leadership roles throughout Central Texas with a respected local business.   

Larry is committed to finding efficient, effective solutions to the issues caused by the explosive growth of the County.  He is driven to continue providing the citizens of Williamson County the highest level of customer service, professionalism and technology and will draw on his balanced experience in both the public and private arenas. 

He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration with a Major in Management from Texas State University in San Marcos.  Larry is also an active member of the Tax Assessor/Collectors Association and Texas Association of Assessing Officers.  In addition, he enjoys serving as an instructor and presenter on property tax matters for both associations.

Larry and Heather, his wife of 15 years, live in Round Rock with their 2 sons.    He and Heather are active members of Rock Pointe church, coach their boy’s baseball teams and volunteer their time and resources at Round Rock ISD and other local organizations.

Constitutional Requirements
The Texas Constitution, Article 7, Section 14 - "There shall be elected by the qualified voters of each county, an Assessor and Collector of Taxes, who shall hold office for four years....." Larry Gaddes is the Williamson County Tax Assessor. The Tax Assessor-Collector is elected countywide by voters for a four year term and has specific duties outlined in the Texas Constitution and by statutes passed through Legislative action.
