    "Leave No Trace for Williamson County Preserves" Training Offered April 25

    The Williamson County Conservation Foundation is offering another “Leave No Trace for Williamson County Preserves” training for people who want to access County preserve areas.  The next class will be held on Thursday, April 25, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (sign-in begins at 6:00 p.m.) at the Williamson County Georgetown Annex, 100 Wilco Way, Georgetown, Texas 78626. The training will be held in the Human Resources Training Room. Please drive around to the northwest corner of the building to access through the Training Room door. To reserve a spot in the class, send an email to wccf@wilco.org and include "LNT" in the subject line. Include your name and the number of persons accompanying you. Because of classroom size, the class is limited to the first 40 people who register.

The Board of Fire Commissioners of Williamson County Emergency Services District #8 will meet on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 6:00p.m. at 3500 D B Wood Road, Public Safety Operations and Training Center, Georgetown, Texas. Williamson County Emergency Services District #8 Board Members: Bobby Bunte, Bennie Piper, Troy Rodriguez, Ira Wood and Richard Wilkes.

Call to Order

Board may, at any time, recess the Regular Session to convene in Executive Session at the request of the Chair, Board Member, or legal counsel for any purpose authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551, and are subject to action in the Regular Session that follows.

  1. Consideration and possible action to approve the minutes from the Regular Session Meeting held on March 20, 2019.
  2. Presentation of the monthly Treasurer’s report and payment of bills by Ron Barrick.
  3. Discussion and possible action to renew insurance coverage with VFIS of Texas.
  4. Discussion and possible action on the sale of the Station 6 Fire Station site to the City of Georgetown and issues related to same, including but not limited to payments, Service Contract and financials related to same.
  5. Development of annual calendar of recurring events.
  6. Monthly presentation, report(s) and updates by City of Georgetown Fire Chief John Sullivan.
  7. Public Comment.
